BHJ Girls Home
Our main responsibility in Thailand is the leadership of Breanna’s House of Joy Girls Home. This Home was built in honor of a young girl named Breanna Moritz who was killed at the age of 12 in a car accident. Her parents, Bill and Mary Lee Moritz, from Colorado Springs, began the NGO and Girls Home in their daughter’s honor.
BHJ is nestled 20 minutes outside of Chiang Mai, the second largest city in Thailand, and houses nearly-50 young girls who are orphaned, impoverished, or at-risk for the sex-industry or the drug trade. Each girl comes from the poverty-stricken hilltribe region in Northern Thailand and is given a public school education, Biblical teaching, and a safe place to grow up in the innocence that children should be allowed.
To find out more about the Breanna’s House of Joy, to see photos of all our girls, and to read more about the other areas where our Christian foundation is involved in SouthEast Asia, please visit its website, Joy to the World Outreach.
If you are interested in the sponsorship of one of our girls here, please read this article for more information.
