A few announcements from the world of the Parker Family, on this, the 5th Anniversary of my 29th Birthday . . .
1. Destined Traveler has re-launched. As many of you know, Matt and I have a heart for mentoring students. And while we were able to host one team of college-aged students last year, we are now moving into hosting teams again on a more regular basis. We feel like the overseas experience can be a catalyst for growth on many levels, and we are committed to hosting teams in a culturally-responsible way {check out our missions philosophy over at Destined Traveler}. We are also super excited about hosting several family trips over the next year, too.
So, give me a birthday present and spread the word! If you know of a college student who needs a “gap year” experience or wants to do a missions trip in SE Asia this summer, would you direct them over to DestinedTraveler.com? Or, if your family or group is interested in learning and serving in Asia, consider scheduling a trip with us, too. Most of our efforts will focus on promoting awareness and education involving human trafficking.

And, yes, that was five people on one scooter {video here}. And, yes, we do drive around sometimes like that {on back roads, mostly}. Consider it cultural assimilation and all that.
