Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder . . . and it’s only day one

by Laura on October 19, 2009

I love that I was Matt Parker’s date to senior prom, and

I’m glad that our first (of many) kisses took place on a beach.

I love that I knew him when he was bald and bearded, and that
he is the only man in the world who would spend two hours to pull my hair through a plastic cap to highlight it for cheap, only to have it still turn out like this.
I admire his heart for Jesus, for people, and
for travel.
I love how he builds fires to share adult conversation or to lead family worship, and

I’m thankful we still date.
I love how he has given Kelty a deep compassion for others,
Cade his friendly charm,
and Ava a spirit of adventure
He makes it easy to follow,
and hard to be without.

Oh I LOVE all the pics, friend. What a wonderful trip down memory lane. How blessed you are with such an amazing marriage–and man to spend the rest of your life with.

Praying for Matt this week. Standing with you and trusting for all the things that are on your hearts.

I particularly enjoyed and miss the bearded Matt. Thanks for putting that together Laura. That was fun. And, you've a bunch to miss! I look forward to a homecoming report-
